John,
Even in this moment of uncertainty, with the COVID virus still raging, economic distress compounding, and the impeachment trial beginning, there’s still so much reason for optimism.
We have a new president who is ready to get us back on track. Less than two weeks after taking office, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have taken steps to ensure that struggling families get the help they need, vaccines are rolled out quickly and efficiently, and some of the most divisive Trump policies are reversed.
But the only way we can be sure that our Democratic priorities prevail is for us to keep Democratic control of Congress.
Republicans are putting all of their resources into winning back both houses of Congress next year and we can’t let that happen. That’s why President Biden and Vice President Harris need our help, John. I know it’s early in the election cycle, but I’m asking you to give whatever you can now, before our first end-of-month fundraising deadline on January 31 at midnight.
This is about protecting our majority and our ability to govern, and we must get an early jump on the GOP onslaught that is coming. The Biden-Harris administration and our Democratic Congress are hard at work confronting a host of unprecedented health, economic, social, environmental and political crises. We can meet these challenges.
But we need your help to make sure our majorities in Congress don’t slip away.
Millions of Americans and indeed people all over the world are counting on the Biden-Harris administration to succeed. The GOP is not going to tame the pandemic, lift people out of an economic disaster, end systemic racism, and boldly confront the climate crisis.
It’s up to us — you and me — to be active participants in the rebuilding of our great nation and the restoration of our moral authority around the world. You can do that right now by making a contribution today, before the end-of-month deadline Sunday at midnight.
Like I said, we have every reason to be optimistic about our future, John. As long as we’re committed to working together.
Thanks,
Jared
