The threats to independent contractors are real and growing.
Hi Friend,
Big news: The Department of Labor just enacted a new rule to protect independent contractors nationwide.

This rule clarifies whether a worker is an employee under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) or an independent contractor based on a straightforward framework.

DOL is adopting an “economic reality” test to determine whether a worker is economically dependent on an employer for work, which would make him or her an employee, or if he/she is working for himself/herself as an independent contractor.

The threats to independent contractors are real and growing. Lawmakers should stop trying to force workers into a one-size-fits-all work model.

Speak up to protect independent contractor jobs… and fight for flexibility and freedom. ([link removed])

Congress and President Joe Biden support the PRO Act, which would hamper, if not outright destroy, independent jobs, which are critical to our economy.

Independent contractor jobs are especially vital to our economy at this time when millions of Americans are desperately searching for work, flexible work arrangements, and supplemental income.

Lawmakers should stop trying to force workers into a one-size-fits-all model of work. Let Americans choose the type of work arrangement that best meets their unique situations.

As proposals to restrict or eliminate independent contracting opportunities gain momentum at the state and now federal level, the Department of Labor’s rule and support for independent work is tremendously important for American workers.

Join us in this fight to protect independent contractors. ([link removed])
