Termaine Hicks was a hero. Cops shot him then framed him.

He was the 16th Black man exonerated by my hero, Larry Krasner, the DA of Philadelphia, for a crime he had nothing to do with. ⁣

It's one of the most painful stories I've ever heard. ⁣
⁣
A woman had been brutally assaulted in Philly. ⁣
⁣
Termaine heard her in distress and went to check on her. He had NOTHING to do with the assault. ⁣
⁣
He didn't do it. ⁣Didn't know who did. ⁣
⁣
He was there to be a hero. ⁣
⁣
When the Philadelphia Police showed up, they shot Termaine 3 times - and then falsified evidence and testimony to make it look like HE was the perpetrator. ⁣

Can you imagine showing up to be a hero, then getting shot by police and framed for the crime?

With the help of my friends at the Innocence Project - after spending NINETEEN YEARS of his life behind bars, they proved that he was innocent, that police lied from the start, and that DNA evidence showed Termaine had nothing to do with the crime. ⁣
