Hey folks,
At the end of this first month of 2021, we should reflect on all we accomplished in the last few months -- and what we need to do now.
We elected Joe Biden and Kamala Harris with the help of Georgia’s 16 electoral votes.
Georgia took back the Senate for Democrats by electing the first Black and Jewish senators from our state.
A bipartisan group of House members stood up against Donald Trump’s insurrection -- and made Trump the first-ever president to have been impeached twice.
After all of this, I wouldn’t blame you for wanting to take a break from politics, friends.
But this is not the moment to get complacent. This is when we need everyone to step up and stay involved -- because it’s only when we are all working together that we are able to create the change we need.

This is the moment to get engaged in the fight to bring more progressive leadership to Georgia’s state and local offices -- because elections didn’t end with those Senate runoffs. In a little less than two years, Rev. Raphael Warnock will be defending his Senate seat, and
all our state Assembly seats will be up for grabs.
That’s our chance to flip Georgia’s legislature and bring the leadership we need to improve health care access, ensure all our communities have equal education opportunities, address the child care crisis, fix our infrastructure, and so much more in our state.
If you didn’t already know, so much of the real work happens at the state and local level.
In 2020 and 2021, we proved that Georgia is ready for change. We flipped our state blue at the federal level. Now we need to give it everything we’ve got to keep Georgia blue in 2022.
