Dear Active Members & Allies,
We’d like to keep our partners informed about the timing of an Executive Order (EO) that would remove barriers to the legal immigration system, and include an immediate review of the Trump-era public charge regulations. We were expecting the order for an immediate review of the public charge regulations to be issued today, along with several other immigration-related Executive Orders. It’s now being reported that the administration will delay the public charge EO and other immigration EOs.
We remain optimistic that the public charge EO will come out soon, and will keep you informed of any developments. We’re postponing Monday’s tweetstorm to a later date, which we will announce once we know more about the timing of the Executive Order.
We remain confident that quick action on public charge remains a top priority for the White House, and we look forward to collectively celebrating this monumental step in the path towards our collective vision of a nation where all are truly equal, immigration is recognized as a strength, and no one in America is denied the essentials of life because of where they were born.
