Friends,
We hope you all will join us next Thursday, February 4, when we welcome back perennial favorite Charlie Forbes — Fairfax County’s Chief for Solid Waste Recycling, Compliance, and Planning — to our 350 Fairfax general meeting.
RSVP to receive Zoom info for the meeting here.
Charlie will update us on Fairfax County’s plans for waste management in 2021 and beyond — including a report-out on the sparkly new composting program.
He has been with the county since 2005, moving over from his role as Deputy Regional Director with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. He is an expert in waste generation and composition analysis, landfill gas-to-energy project development, and long-range solid waste planning, and he always has great, practical, actionable information to share.
RSVP today! Chatting with Charlie is always a great and wildly informative time, and you won’t want to miss it.
Yours in action,
Julie Kimmel & Helene Shore
Co-chairs, 350 Fairfax
P.S. We haven't forgotten about the General Assembly session. On February 4, we'll share updates about the waste-related bills and Green New Deal bills we're following.
