We need reform in Washington, and we need it
NOW.

That’s why I introduced legislation on Capitol Hill this week
to hopefully change the way we do things around here – for the better.
We need transparency and accountability, and I believe that the Roadmap
to Congressional Reform is the best first step we can take.

Trust in
Congress is at historic lows, but I know that we can do better for the
American people. By implementing important reforms like term limits and
eliminating earmarks, we’re going to go a long way towards ending the
appearance of corruption that plagues us and causes many to label DC a
swamp.

The Roadmap also includes measures to restrict pay and recess
before a Congressional budget is passed in a timely manner, stop the
Revolving Doors Act, and requires that there be time to read every bill
before it’s voted on.

It’s hard to believe these commonsense
practices aren’t already in place!
