The Georgia Story will discuss how organizing around reproductive justice and voter mobilization led to historic electoral wins with local and national implications. The event will be moderated by NIRH Action Fund’s Board members Aisha Mills and Nathalie Molina Niño and will feature key players from within Georgia, including Representative Renitta Shannon from the Georgia House of Representatives, Nsé Ufot and Toni Watkins from New Georgia Project, and Suraiya Sharker and Nina Reddy from National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum.
Join us on Tuesday, February 9 for The Georgia Story and get a behind-the-scenes look at what led to these victories – including the roles legislators, organizers, and the private sector played – and the connection to the vision and movement for reproductive justice.
This is the first part of a larger series that focuses on expert, engaging analysis of the state of play for reproductive freedom in the states, so stay tuned for future events!
See you on February 9,
Andrea Miller
