John, we witnessed a historic inauguration last week. It was a moment that reinvigorated all of us at Ceres with renewed hope for our planet—and for a more unified nation.
But we can’t reverse the damage of the last administration—and move forward with a bold plan to tackle climate change—without monthly supporters at our side. And when you start a sustaining gift by MIDNIGHT tonight, a generous donor will give an extra $50 to Ceres to jumpstart our work in 2021.
We are all well aware of the challenges we face. The accelerating impacts of climate change. A still-raging pandemic. The enduring reality of systemic racism.
But there is also new energy, and new reason for optimism. Last Sunday we joined 153 leaders from across the world—from labor to climate to business to government—and signed a letter published in The New York Times. Its message? President Biden: You Can Be the Climate President.
We’re already seeing progress. The United States is back in the Paris Agreement. More and more companies are setting bold sustainability goals. President Biden is acting on climate—evidenced by a recent flurry of executive orders, including elevating the climate crisis to a national security priority.
Ceres has been pushing for all of these changes for years, and we are ready to redouble our efforts in the year ahead.
But we need you.
Your monthly gift will provide us with the reliable support we need to achieve a sustainable, just, and inclusive economy.
Ceres is a sustainability nonprofit organization working with the most influential investors and companies to build leadership and drive solutions throughout the economy.
