“Bill seeks two copies of photo ID to vote absentee in Georgia” - Atlanta Journal-Constitution
John -- we witnessed record voter turnout during a pandemic. Now Georgia Republicans are pushing legislation that would require two forms of voter ID -- just to vote by mail!!!
After Democrats flipped two Senate seats, Republicans want to make Georgia one of the hardest states for voting by mail. Two forms of voter ID would be nearly insurmountable for thousands voters, especially low-income Georgians.
We’re fighting back against anti-democracy legislation in Georgia. Our grassroots team is ramping up, and we'll be working to block Republicans’ plan to expand voter ID by mobilizing folks in Georgia who voted by mail in 2020, getting them to pressure their legislators to oppose this bill. First we need to raise funds for the program, so we need you to donate today and support this vital work. [[link removed]]
How are Republicans gearing up for the next election? Crafting legislation to make it harder for Americans to vote. They think no one will notice, but our team is on the lookout and raising the alarm to protect access to the ballot box in Georgia.
This is how the GOP can defeat Senator Raphael Warnock in 2022 and re-elect their notorious vote suppressing governor, Brian Kemp.
Voter ID is a sure-fire way to keep Americans from voting from home and give Republicans a chance to roll back the gains and victories we saw in 2020.
Call out Republicans and contribute $5 or $10 to support our grassroots work to protect voting by mail in Georgia. [[link removed]]
Time is running out and we need you in this fight.
Thank you,
Vote From Home
------------
Vote From Home is a grassroots movement that's fighting to expand vote-by-mail. We helped thousands of Democrats vote safely from home in Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina and Georgia in 2020 and 2021. Now we're focused on stopping politicians and legislation who are making it harder for Americans to vote by mail. Please forward this email if you know someone who may be interested. Our average gift is just under $39 so consider donating that today to support voting rights: [link removed]
