AFGE Family,
In the first few days of their
new administration, President Biden and Vice President Harris are already
delivering on key priorities for federal workers: restoring union rights,
rescinding anti-worker, union-busting executive orders, and raising wages.
But there’s still work to be
done, and we’ve still got to keep the pressure on. Federal and D.C. government
workers have an amazing opportunity in front of us to grow our collective power
and help create a federal government that’s a model employer with better wages,
strong benefits, a dignified retirement, and dignity, fairness, and respect on
the job.
Inside this edition of the
Government Standard you’ll find information on how AFGE outlined priorities for
the Biden Administration, details on AFGE's virtual legislative conference, a
roadmap for our new organizing initiative, how to protect yourself &
coworkers from the coronavirus, and a whole lot more!
