You are receiving this message because of your strong support of Joe Kennedy. He founded Groundwork Project to support community organizers across America, working year-round to create the political infrastructure and coalitions that drive progressive reform and build Democratic power.

For decades, the Democratic Party has under-resourced, under-valued, and under-recognized the importance of local political infrastructure and year-round grassroots organizing. 2020 put into sharp focus the limits of boom-or-bust campaigning, where massive amounts of money, attention, and volunteers parachute into certain states a few weeks before Election Day -- only to dry up the day after.
Luckily 2020 also showed us a better way.

In
Georgia,
it
was
a
decades-long
effort
by
local
organizers
to
register
new
voters
that
delivered
Democrats
the
Senate.
*
In
Arizona
and
Wisconsin,
the
long-term
commitment
of
native
organizers
to
turn
out
votes
on
tribal
land
gave
Joe
Biden
the
edge
he
needed.

It
was
grassroots
organizers
in
red
states
like
Missouri
that
delivered
Medicaid

and
in
essential
battlegrounds

that

We need to invest -- often and early -- in the people doing the work on the ground in their community to build support for Democratic values, issues, and candidates 365 days a year.
That’s why Joe created Groundwork Project. Donate to be a Founding Donor and join this movement. [[link removed]]

We wanted to share our mission statement with you right away, so you can see what we are all about. Groundwork Project will:
*
Support
community
organizers,
advocates,
and
activists
in
Massachusetts
and
across
the
country
who
are
working
year-round
to
build
a
just,
free,
and
equitable
future
for
all.

*
Invest
in
hyperlocal
efforts
that
build
sustainable
political
infrastructure,
engage
and
educate
voters,
and
build
power
for
the
underrepresented
and
disenfranchised.

*
Advocate
for
a
more
connected,
responsive,
and
representative
Democratic
Party
that
can
win
elections
and
deliver
the
progress
that
American
families
need.

How we will do this work:
*
We
listen
first.
We
act
on
what
we
hear
and
learn
--
not
what
we
assume.

*
We
amplify
voices,
direct
spotlight,
and
offer
support
with
no
expectation
of
transaction.

*
We
play
the
long
game
and
understand
the
benefit
of
investing
in
pipelines
on
the
ground
to
create
change
“up-ballot”.

*
We
know
the
“redder”
the
community,
often
the
more
critical
the
work
and
often
the
deeper
the
need.
Lastly, we believe that you cannot win a fight you don’t show up for. You can start by becoming a Founding Donor to Groundwork Project. [[link removed]]
As a Founding Donor, you will be the first to hear about our virtual launch events coming soon! You will also be on the ground floor as we fight for a wholesale redirection of Democratic dollars, time, energy, and resources, towards grassroots groups doing essential community organizing with little spotlight or support.
Groundwork Project was founded by Joe Kennedy III to support community organizers, advocates, and activists nationwide who are working year-round to build a just, free, and equitable future for all. For decades, the Democratic Party has under-resourced, under-valued, and under-recognized the importance of local political infrastructure and year-round grassroots organizing. This needs to change.
We're directing resources, attention, and support to the local advocates and state-based organizations doing the deep, long-term organizing that Democrats need to build a more diverse party, expand its base, win elections, and deliver progressive policy reforms. Contribute now. [[link removed]]
