Hey John,
Imagine an adult attacking a bunch of teenagers who just survived a traumatic shooting. Now imagine that same person getting elected to congress.
Well, you don’t need to imagine. Today, a video surfaced of Marjorie Taylor Greene, QAnon conspiracy theorist turned congress member, harassing me. Marjorie Taylor Greene has called the shooting that killed 17 people and left my classmates and me traumatized a hoax and a false flag.
I was a high school student who was begging our lawmakers to stop massacres like the one at my high school from happening again, and Marjorie Taylor Greene, an adult and radicalized conspiracy theorist, harassed me. She shouted at me, blaming me and my friends for the shooting, and followed us for blocks. Every day, survivors like me are forced to confront our trauma to fight for those that can’t -- because they were killed due to people like Marjorie Taylor Greene refusing to do their job to PROTECT KIDS, not guns.

People like Marjorie Taylor Greene are dangerous. She is a vicious, dehumanizing, radicalized bully. The amount of disinformation that gun-rights supporters have spread about my friends and me is ridiculous -- and it’s almost gotten us killed. We’ve been chased off the road, threatened with guns at our hotels, and have received thousands of death threats. We’ve had memes made about us, like the one Marjorie Taylor Greene posted on her personal Facebook referring to me as “little hitler.” I was 17 at the time and again, was just asking lawmakers to do something to stop kids from getting killed.
Marjorie Taylor Greene has since given a platform to completely false lies about the election. She cheered on armed white supremacists’ violence at the Capitol that resulted in the deaths of five people. It’s wrong for it to be on the victims and survivors of gun violence to end gun violence. We’d much rather be living our lives like any young person -- instead, we’ve been forced to grow up quickly because corrupt politicians like Marjorie Taylor Greene can’t do their job. Marjorie Taylor Greene is a BULLY, but despite her attempts to bring down our movement to save lives -- she won’t. Our movement is strong because of people like you. We won’t let hate win.
