Dear John,
Every January, on the anniversary of the Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion in 1973, stands as a somber reminder of the ongoing need to protect life in the womb. Since that decision, abortion has claimed over 61 million pre-born lives in America.
At Family Research Council, I am encouraged by partners like you -- all across the nation -- who stand as a united front for the inherent dignity of every human life.
In Deuteronomy 30:19 (NIV), Moses challenged Israel to choose life and obey God: "This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live."
As Christians, obedience to Scripture is our biblical mandate to be a voice in the public square. Our influence and engagement have a profound lifesaving effect on innocent lives in the womb.
At FRC, we are committed to a biblical, moral stand against abortion, on Capitol Hill and across this nation. But now, we are facing what could be the most pro-abortion administration in American history.
During the presidential campaign, Joe Biden showed his extreme cards on abortion. He has made it clear that one of his first moves will be attempting to codify Roe v. Wade into permanent law -- making it impossible for states to enact policies that restrict abortion.
There are challenges ahead to protect life, which is why we need your financial support. Will you help us engage the public square and stand for the voiceless?
DONATE TO DEFEND UNBORN LIVES IN 2021
President Biden doesn't just want to make abortion the law of the land without limits; he wants American taxpayers like you to pay for it by repealing the Hyde Amendment.
In December, House Democrats held an Appropriations Committee hearing calling for the removal of the Hyde Amendment -- despite its 44 years of bipartisan support and a version of the Amendment being passed by every president since Jimmy Carter!
The Hyde Amendment has saved an estimated 2,409,311 lives since 1976, and it is considered one of the most impactful policies in protecting human life in the womb. But radical liberals are already preparing their "talking points," calling the Hyde Amendment "racist" and "discriminatory" against minority and low-income women.
The communications director at Family Institute of Connecticut, Christina Bennett, was a pro-life witness at the hearing and responded to the racism allegations. Bennett, who is black, stated, "It's not racist to preserve black lives. Hyde protects women from an industry that is rooted in racism, with a documented history of eugenics philosophy, population control, and the unlawful targeting of the black community."
The radical Left's position is if you oppose the funding of elective abortions, you are a racist. Bennett responded that the real proof of racism is the nearly 80 percent of abortion clinics located in lower-income, minority neighborhoods that "prey on black and brown mothers and their children."
But it gets worse. Besides repealing Hyde, Biden wants to create a "public option" under Obamacare to include abortion, forcing private businesses to provide health insurance coverage for abortion-inducing drugs.
President Biden's abortion extremism is a major component of his vision for America, and there is no other word for it but evil!
As Christians committed to the sanctity of life, we must brace ourselves for a radical abortion agenda -- and be prepared to stand strong.
Will you join us and make a commitment to protect life? Your generous gift -- today -- will provide life-saving action in 2021.
GIVE TODAY TO STAND FOR THE VOICELESS
Regardless of who is in the White House, our mission to protect biblical truth, human dignity, and religious liberty does not change!
FRC is actively supporting pro-life legislation at the state and federal level, like the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act,to protect taxpayers from being forced to subsidize abortion. For more information, our interactive maps track state funding of the abortion industry and inform citizens of key pro-life policies.
This is an all-hands-on-deck moment for every God-fearing, freedom-loving American in the country to stand for truth and defend unborn lives in 2021. There will be many challenges that lie before us, but thanks to your financial and prayer support, we are prepared to face those challenges head on.
Thank you in advance for standing strong with Family Research Council and being a voice for the voiceless.
