Dear Friend, Yesterday, we celebrated President Biden’s rescission of the Muslim and African Bans, put in place by Trump four years ago. Many of us stood alongside our Muslim friends, coworkers and classmates -- at airport protests, at rallies, and in meetings with public officials -- to make these Bans history. While we celebrated, we also gathered in our nation’s capital to demand a pathway to citizenship for essential workers. Immigrants and communities of colors have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic while working the essential jobs to keep our country running. From grocery stores and hospitals to food production lines and farms, immigrants have been crucial to our country’s recovery. |
