Hi team,

I'll be blunt, I'm asking you to make a donation to our campaign. But before I do, I want to explain why it's so critical that you pitch in to help hit our $50,000 goal before our FEC fundraising deadline on September 30.

I'm asking you because I'm not asking corporate PACs. When candidates ask for money from corporate PACs to build their campaigns, they're giving corporate special interests a way in. And even the appearance of putting the special interests over Texans is out of the question for me. So, I'm relying on supporters like you instead.

That means this campaign is truly built by the people. It means that every penny we fundraise is a vote of confidence in our campaign. This is our most important FEC deadline yet, and all eyes will be on us to see how much we've raised to beat Senator John Cornyn.

That's why we keep asking: will you invest in this campaign by pitching in to hit our $50,000 FEC deadline goal?

Senator Cornyn's already got $9 million on hand. His special interest allies know he's vulnerable, so he's going to have shady super PACs dumping money into this race all the way through.

We have to be prepared to fight back. That's why I'm asking you to pitch in: to make a statement about your confidence in this campaign and your investment in our message -- and to help get us the resources we need to fight back, no corporate PACs needed.

I hope I can count on your support.

Thanks for everything,

MJ
