We wanted to kick-off 2021 with action and momentum - so earlier this month, after more than two years of planning, the OAC launched a new national public awareness campaign that is taking weight bias by the horns. The new campaign, titled "Stop Weight Bias," is committed to raising awareness, putting a stop to weight bias and pushing equality forward. From the campaign PSAs (public service announcements) and its rich stories to its advocacy tools and education, Stop Weight Bias aims to build a better world where individuals aren't considered "less than" because of their weight. WATCH NOW | | RECORD 1,400+ PHYSICIANS WILL TAKE 2021 OBESITY MEDICINE CERTIFICATION EXAM The American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) has announced that a record number of physicians have applied to take its 2021 obesity medicine certification exam. This is promising news for the future of obesity treatment and the availability of healthcare providers who are trained in this field.
