John,

Naajma, 16, was born in Turbhe, the very center of the red-light district, in Mumbai, India.

Her mother was sold and sent to India at very young age. Both mother and child struggled horribly — their lives a nightmare physically, financially, and emotionally.

Naajma was beautiful, frequently targeted by men, often threatened with kidnapping …

And, when she resisted their advances, threatened with death. Despite her heartbreaking life, still she dreamed of going to school and becoming a nurse. It seemed like an impossible fantasy.

There was no way they could pay for such an education. Her mother, desperate to spare her beloved Naajma from her own horrible fate, contacted our team in the region.

Today, Naajma is a thriving member of our family at Asha Nepal.

She enjoys music and dance classes, studying guitar, learning to ride a scooter — and she’ll soon begin nursing classes! She’s also faithful in attending our evening devotions. Naajma is deeply grateful for friends like you every day.

Please help us fight for children like Naajma! We are up against a worldwide multi-million-dollar trafficking network — a kind of global pandemic all its own, and one that devastates children, stealing their innocence, shattering their hopes and dreams, ending their future.

But through friends like you … supporting Shared Hope … lives are being restored, and dreams and futures are possible again!

Your generosity has rewritten Naajma’s story. So I urge you to give again today, for victims like Naajma’s mother … and for the children and youth still being exploited by traffickers.

In fact, as this New Year begins, I invite you to prayerfully consider taking a very special step to giving monthly — or increasing your existing monthly support of Shared Hope.

Whatever you decide to give, you can give with confidence, knowing that your generosity will go far. You will truly reach and restore survivors - and prevent many from being victimized by predators.

Together, we will fight harder than ever to Prevent — Restore — Bring Justice. The tragedy of sex trafficking must end. Thank you for helping!
