Here’s the simple truth about chlorpyrifos:

•
This neurotoxic pesticide can harm children’s brains, even in small doses, but can still legally be sprayed on kids’ favorite foods, like apples, peaches and grapes.
•
The EPA’s own assessment found that the levels of chlorpyrifos found on produce are unsafe. The EU, California and Hawaii have already banned chlorpyrifos because of its health concerns.
•
But the EPA recently claimed chlorpyrifos is safe and poses “no risk of concern, including to children’s health.”

The EPA is asking to hear from the public on its recent assessment of chlorpyrifos. This means we have a chance to convince the EPA to BAN chlorpyrifos, but only if the agency is overwhelmed with comments from the public. 17,484 supporters have already added their names, but I don’t see yours. Stand up for kids’ health! Join EWG and 17,484 supporters and tell the EPA to BAN brain-damaging chlorpyrifos!

This toxic pesticide should have been banned years ago, but the Trump EPA has been fighting to protect it. In 2017, just days after meeting with a pesticide executive, the EPA announced its plan to cancel a scheduled ban of chlorpyrifos.

Since then California has banned chlorpyrifos, and its chief manufacturer announced plans to end production. But the EPA is still defending this toxic pesticide. Enough is enough! It’s time to get this dangerous chemical out of our environment and away from our kids. Will you join us?

We need 82,516 more signatures before the EPA’s February 5 deadline on chlorpyrifos. Click here to add your name now!

Thanks for taking action, friend.
