** WELCOME TO THE NUMBER OF THE DAY
------------------------------------------------------------
** JANUARY 28, 2021
------------------------------------------------------------
Just over three weeks ago, violence broke out in Washington, D.C., as a group of protesters occupied the U.S. Capitol ([link removed]) in an effort to disrupt the confirmation of President Biden’s ([link removed]) Electoral College ([link removed]) victory. Eighty-two percent (82%) of voters nationwide disapprove of those who took part.[1] ([link removed])
Disapproval came from 71% of Republicans. In fact, even among those who believe President Donald Trump ([link removed]) was the legitimate winner of Election 2020 ([link removed]) , 58% rejected the assault on the Capitol.[2] ([link removed])
However, fully one-third of all voters (33%) believe that most Trump voters supported the attack on the Capitol. That figure includes a solid plurality of Democrats (46%).[2] ([link removed])
