It’s been exactly one week since President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were sworn in. It still feels a little surreal.

Despite this new reality, much of the damage done by the disastrous Trump Administration won’t get fixed overnight — or even in the first few weeks and months of the Biden-Harris Administration.

Trump has left in his wake terrible policies galore — many of them entrenched for now in the bureaucracy — to say nothing of 200 new federal judges who are anything but progressive. Witness what just happened shortly after our new president put a 100-day pause on deportations. A Trump-appointed federal judge in Texas stopped it!

As the People’s Attorney here in Oregon, my office has spent the last four years fighting the Trump Administration’s many threats to the people of Oregon. From reproductive health and the rights of organized labor to environmental protection — and everything in between — our team worked tirelessly to ensure that we didn’t let Trump and his cronies tear apart the fabric of our state and our nation.

But, as you can see, there is still much work to do.
