Hi John,

Were you watching as the nation's first female, Black, and South Asian vice president was sworn into office by the nation's first Latina Supreme Court Justice?

In choosing Sonia Sotomayor to administer her oath of office, Kamala Harris “picked an ideological sister who has journeyed the same path, littered with familiar obstacles, to mark a turn in the direction of the country,” according to CNN.

This was a historic moment, John -- and we hope it made you feel as proud as it made us feel. But we can't forget that Sonia Sotomayor sits on a Supreme Court whose conservative majority threatens women's rights. Kamala Harris is certain to face racist and misogynistic double standards along her path forward. Our work is nowhere near done.

It took us far too long to get here, and we don't want to wait this long to see the next barriers to women's representation in our government broken. That's why we need to start organizing now to support women running for office in 2022.

We're determined to succeed. But determination, unfortunately, isn't enough. We're behind in our fundraising for this next cycle, and we hope you can help.

Please, if you're able, donate now to make sure that we have historic firsts to celebrate in 2022, 2024, and beyond. With your help, we can make sure that every election cycle represents another step towards equality. >> [link removed]
