Dear John,
I hope you enjoy this comprehensive update on mission during 2020 and what’s planned for 2021, including a video update from International CEO Stephen Mbogo. Also below is an overview on the state of affairs in Africa, our most popular article and video of 2020, and a tribute to the late Stephen Lungu who passed away on the 18th of January through contracting COVID-19. Our prayers are with Rachel Lungu and family and a tribute to his work is on the story link below and via AE’s facebook page.
We remember how Christ transformed Stephen’s life to take him from dangerous criminal to worldwide evangelist, and how his evangelistic work lives on through new generations of amazing leaders within AE throughout Africa.
Please join with me in celebrating his life, and the incredible work of our current leaders who are coordinating evangelistic missions to see millions reached through mass media and multi-societal events, and many thousands of lives transformed forever through development initiatives such as water and sanitation programs, vocational training, reconciliation and trauma healing initiatives.
Your support made it possible for us to reach 4 million people, with over 30,000 commitments to Christ through our Home Based Evangelistic ventures in partnership with enthusiastic churches in 2020. Every day our evangelists are in the streets giving hope to their communities and leading thousands to Christ each year. Just some of the stories of transformation are posted twice daily on facebook and Instagram, as well as send through African Harvest magazine (quarterly) and this monthly email newsletter.
Your prayers and support are so valued and appreciated, and provide encouragement and strength to us as we reach out into some of the most difficult parts of the world with the love of Jesus.
Thank you and God bless,
Ben Campbell
