Check out how environmental voters from around the country advocated for our future yesterday!? ? ? ? ? Last Friday, I joined with my coworkers, friends, and neighbors to strike in the nation's capital in solidarity with the Youth Climate Strike. As I helped the youth organizers put the finishing touches on the stage outside the US Capitol Building, I turned around to see thousands of people marching up Pennsylvania Avenue and realized this could be our turning point. It was inspiring and energizing for me, and it's already changing the global conversation around the climate crisis.

Over 4 million people around the world ? with 600,000 in the United States ? came together in a diverse, youth-led, people-powered movement to demand action to address climate change. This movement ? built by young leaders of color who are the most impacted by the climate crisis ? is centered on equity to address environmental racism, public health, and a just transition to our clean energy future.

I want to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone who showed up and who supported the Youth Climate Strike. The fight is nowhere near over, but I am honored to work together with you and our movement for climate justice . Because our communities, our climate, and our Earth are worth fighting for.
