We are setting a $90,000 Goal on GiveSendGo.com to send up to 2 million text messages and phone calls to Trump supporters across the country to contact key Senate offices to stop the unconstitutional impeachment of former President Donald Trump.

This is a flexible goal campaign by Americans for Limited Government to send 1 million text messages and make up to 1 million phone calls to Trump supporters in key states to contact their Senate offices to oppose convicting former President Donald Trump of the unconstitutional impeachment charges he is facing.

The $90,000 will be used to directly contact the Trump supporters with the goal of generating an estimated 60,000 phone calls and emails into the key Senate offices, telling Senators that the trial of former President Trump is not just about convicting Trump — it’s about cancelling the 74 million Americans who voted for Trump.

This is a big goal! But we want to show that this movement when it sets its mind to it can accomplish big things. And crowdfunding it is the way to give you that voice!

The House has impeached former President Donald Trump on the false charge of “incitement of insurrection” for exercising his First Amendment rights at the Save America Rally on Jan. 6 urging protesters to be peaceful: “I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.”

It’s not even constitutional to have a trial against a former president. Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution states “The President… shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.” And Article I, Section 3 states “Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States…” Those constitutional provisions are all inclusive and must be read consistently. Only a sitting president can be removed and since conviction must include removal, there cannot be an impeachment trial of a former president.

In addition, Congress cannot turn a speech calling for peaceful protest protected by the First Amendment into a crime. Moreover, the more we learn about the assault on the U.S. Capitol, the more evidence emerges it was pre-planned by multiple groups on social media platforms like Facebook, according to the Justice Department, who then targeted the rally, the Capitol and even the Republican and Democratic National Committee headquarters. Those who committed the violence should be held accountable — not Trump and his supporters.

On the phone calls, we are paying for the 50,000 phone calls to the Senate offices. The way the vendor works is they keep calling households until 50,000 have been patched through to their Senate offices. We estimate about a 5 percent conversion rate, meaning up to 1 million households would be contacted.
