This month, a majority of House Republicans voted to overturn our election -- even after our Capitol was besieged by insurrectionists. While deeply disturbing, it's unfortunately not surprising.

Many of the members who voted for the insurrectionists' agenda come from gerrymandered districts. Because of this, they don't fear a general election -- they only fear a primary challenge from an even more extreme Republican.

These members of Congress knew the claims of voter fraud were baseless, but they cast cynical votes to protect their political futures. The NDRC is working to end the gerrymandering that rewards extreme politicians. Will you chip in today to support our work in 2021?

Thanks to our new Senate majority, we have a chance to pass the For The People Act (H.R. 1). This bill will make partisan gerrymandering illegal at the federal level. And, the NDRC and our affiliates will also execute a state-by-state strategy to advocate for fair maps across the country as lines are redrawn.
