Hi,
BREAKING NEWS: President Biden announces Earth Day summit
marking U.S. return to global climate talks.
Since 1970, April 22nd has been recognized as the day we act for
the planet. Five years ago, the Paris Agreement was formally opened
for signatures on Earth Day, connecting global commitments to fighting
climate change to the actions of a grassroots movement. In
2021, the whole world will be watching on Earth Day as the U.S.
returns to the global climate stage.
Watch President Biden as he marks our day as a
turning point for the world at 1:30pm ET.
We all want to see every country rapidly raise their sights across
all climate issues — and that must include climate education, given
its importance for youth and their futures; a greener, more
sustainable economy; new green jobs and a new generation of active and
engaged citizens.
EARTHDAY.ORG looks forward to being a part of this historic
climate summit on Earth Day. We’re organizing parallel events during
Earth Week, making active progress to Restore Our
Earth.
Together,
