John — it has been quite a month.
On January 3, I was sworn in as the Congressman for NY-15, the greatest honor of my life.
On January 6, we watched as a violent mobbed stormed the halls of Congress in an attempt to invalidate a democratically-decided election at the behest of the President.
On January 13, I gave my first speech on the floor of the House in support of the impeachment of Donald J. Trump.
Then, on January 20, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were sworn in as President and Vice President of the United States.
In his speech, President Biden noted that “The American story depends not on any one of us, not on some of us, but on all of us, on we the people.” As we embark on the challenge of undoing the harm the Trump Administration did over the last four years, this chapter of America’s story will be written by us all.
John, we are approaching our first end-of-month deadline of 2021, and if you are able, I must ask you to send in $3 to support our progressive movement. I don’t accept money from corporate PACs because I work for the people, so I rely on support from grassroots donors like you.
