Roberta Kaplan, an attorney and advocate for liberal causes, is pursuing a number of lawsuits against Donald Trump now that his days of presidential immunity are up.
According to NY Governor Andrew Cuomo, Kaplan “has been indispensable in the fight against the cancer of hate and division that Trump spent four years exacerbating.” That's because, over the course of her career, Kaplan has prosecuted the Ku Klux Klan, paved the way for the legalization of same-sex marriage, and founded the Time's Up Legal Defense Fund to help sexual assault survivors.
Now, Kaplan is pursuing three cases against Trump. Most symbolically, she will represent E. Jean Caroll, a writer who filed a defamation lawsuit against Trump after he claimed she “was totally lying” about her sexual assault allegations against him.
Caroll has said that she won't “have to be brave. Because Robbie Kaplan is brave for me.” We're proud to stand by Kaplan in her search for justice. And before she becomes a major target for Trump's supporters, we need to know if our supporters will too. Please, let us know where you stand:
