Friend – the struggle against COVID-19 and its severe economic impact is still ongoing. In less than a year, the pandemic has caused significant setbacks on the path towards global poverty reduction. Without immediate action, COVID-19 could drive over 100 million people into extreme poverty. Vulnerable communities in the US and around the world – already lacking access to adequate clean water, nutrition, and healthcare – have suffered the worst effects of the crisis.
So far, Oxfam has delivered essential assistance to more than 11 million people in more than 60 countries. Our teams are working with hundreds of local partner organizations to provide emergency food, improve access to hygiene, and distribute direct cash assistance to impacted communities. But we're not done yet. Our goal is to reach 14 million people with urgent pandemic aid, all while continuing our fight against poverty.
We can help meet these critical needs, but only with your support. Your gift will go to work right away, helping families around the world survive poverty and COVID-19.
