Our nation has endured a lot -- but
we've entered a new era, friends.
Just last week, we watched our new president and vice president make history, as Kamala Harris officially became the first Black and South Asian woman to be vice president.
The inauguration marked a moment of celebration, and there was a sense of hope in the air as we enter this new chapter -- one where we can begin to work together again toward a better future for folks across the entire country.
And that work begins with the utmost urgency.
We need to ramp up the COVID-19 vaccination process; provide aid to our small businesses, farmers, and $2000 survival checks to struggling families; send direct relief to our town and county governments; and overall protect the health and well-being of #NY19 residents and citizens across the entire country.
COVID-19 assistance and relief is long overdue. Will you join me in the fight for relief by signing this petition demanding Congress pass a relief bill NOW?
This month, I reintroduced the Direct Support for Communities Act in the House, which will provide much-needed relief to local governments -- regardless of population size -- that have lost revenue during the pandemic. This legislation is essential to keeping firefighters, teachers, and many others employed and services going.
I am committed to the work ahead. Getting a grip on the pandemic starts with the federal government.
Too many communities and individuals are struggling -- please sign the petition and tell Congress to act NOW >>
Let's get to work,
Antonio
