THIS MONTH AT

January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month. A key to preventing trafficking is knowing that traffickers use vulnerabilities to target their victims. There are many forces and situations that cause vulnerability in a child’s life. Caring about child trafficking means considering and connecting with a lot of other issues. Each week in January we looked at one vulnerability, shared how that issue relates to child trafficking, how COVID has exacerbated it, how our programs respond, and what you can do to help.

Dressember is a movement of thousands of advocates wearing a dress (or tie!) each day in December to raise awareness and funds to end trafficking. This year they raised a stunning 2.5 million dollars! Love146 is one of many organizations that will benefit from a portion of those funds raised by these advocates. For all of you who chose to advocate through Dressember, THANK YOU. It makes a big difference – the funds we receive will be supporting our work in The Philippines. We’ve found the Dressember community to be an incredibly thoughtful crew of activists and learners. Dressember won't be back for 11 more months, but you can browse their blog for some great perspectives all year round.
