UPS has sold UPS Freight, a trucking subsidiary that mostly hauls industrial cargo, to Canadian company TFI International for $800 million. Industry observers say UPS Freight never fit well with the company's core package shipping business, and CEO Carol Tome says the move "allows UPS to be even more laser-focused on the core parts of our business that drive the greatest value for our customers."
