Fixed Term
Rough Sleeping Operations Manager ? J Grade, 12 Months Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover)
???
This post is funded by Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG), under the Rough Sleeping Initiative. The aim of the project is?to eliminate rough sleeping by 2027.
???
It is the responsibility of the Rough Sleeping Operations Manager to manage all schemes funded by this initiative and ensure that they are meeting the requirements of service users. The RSI coordinator is responsible for the budget awarded and must decide how this will be used. Monitoring is required to be sent to MHCLG regularly.
??
It is essential that the chosen candidate is able to liaise with partners from various organisations in order to tackle rough sleeping, this includes commissioned partners but also voluntary and humanitarian groups. Often the work is fast paced and unpredictable so the candidate must be able to work flexibly and under pressure.
?
Due to the fact that rough sleepers experience a variety of vulnerabilities and complex issues, it is essential that the candidate has an understanding of wider issues than housing alone. For example, they will be working closely with mental health teams, social care, ?primary care, drug and alcohol services and Prison services to name but a few.
???
Covid-19 has brought new challenges to the role and the selected candidate will also be expected to work with Public Health as part of the infection control team. They will also help to shape new Covid-19 secure services and work with partners to ensure that the delivery of these services can meet demand.
???
Those interested in applying will need to submit an expression of interest no more than two sides of A4, dealing with the following areas:
1) What are the current issues when tackling rough sleeping.
2) What are the impacts of COVID on this group.
3) What skills and aptitude do you need to support the delivery of the programme.?? ?????????????
?
Applicants are to send their expression of interest to [email protected] before Monday?8th February?2021.
??
Successful candidates will be called for an?interview, which will be held on Wednesday 17th?February 2021.
