Medilink
Free travel to vaccination centres
To help people get to their Covid-19 vaccine appointments as safely and easily as possible, we're providing free travel to concessionary card holders *before 9.30am.*
We've worked with bus and tram operators to extend the existing free travel - which already applies from 9.30am until 11pm - to help people make early appointments.
This applies to both Nottingham and Nottinghamshire concessionary card holders making an essential journey to receive their vaccine.Just present your appointment letter with your card when boarding.
Weve also added the Kings Meadow vaccination site to the Medilink route to give people more ways to get to their jabs.
Remember - we all still need to stay home, stay safe, and avoid unnecessary journeys wherever possible but travelling for your vaccination"is"essential travel, and dont forget you must wear a face covering when on public transport.

Stay at home
Stay home
The country remains under lockdown restrictions, with new variants of the Covid-19 virus continuing to spread.
It's vital that we all stay at home as much as possible. You should only leave the house for essential journeys.

Keeping traffic moving
Box junctions
With repairs under way on Clifton Bridge, we were seeing increased traffic at several important junctions in the city.
Working with Highways England, we've installed seven new yellow box junctions on key routes to keep public transport routes clear, and to improve journeys for motorists.
Funded by Highways England, the box junctions have been installed on Abbey Bridge, NG2/Queens Drive, Sheriffs Way, Arkwright Street, Bathley Street, and on London Road at its junctions with Meadow Lane and Trumans Road.
For more information on how yellow box junctions work, see 174 in the Highway Code [ [link removed] ].

E-scooter parking...
E-scooter parking bays
Our electric scooter trial - operated by Wind Mobility - has been running for nearly three months, and we've recently started marking out parking bays to encourage safer, more responsible parking.
We chose a dockless scheme because of the flexibility it offered people can get closer to their destination. This relies on users parking correctly and we appreciate this isnt always happening.
There are around 400 designated parking zones in the city, and riders can see where they are in the app. By marking the bays we hope to make itmore clear to everyone where the e-scooters should be.
*Are you a key worker?*
Key workers can take advantage of a reduced rate monthly subscription, allowing you to keep an e-scooter at home and use it exclusively for just 30 per month.

Changes to Linkbus services
Locallink bus________________________________________________________________________
Nottingham City Councils Linkbus network provides important connections to residents living or working in areas where commercial bus routes are not viable.
The council is facing very serious budget challenges, and is having to make some extremely difficult decisions on the services we provide. This includes a proposal to reduce funding for our Linkbus services.
We are proposing to limit the effect on services through timetable changes, diversions on existing services, and withdrawing services where journeys can be made by another operator. The Medilink service will be retained.
A public consultation is now running until Sunday 21 February, following which a final decision will be made in March.
Visit our website [ [link removed] ] for specific proposals on each service and how to have your say.

We know how people use public transport has changed during the Covid-19 pandemic, and it's likely that our travel patterns may be different for some time, or may never go back to how they were.
In light of this, we've reviewing our products to make sure we have the best options available to suit the changing needs of people travelling in the city.
