Climate change is a threat to life on this planet. Our health, our economy, and even our national security all depend on taking immediate steps to get this crisis under control.
On his first day in office, President Biden took some bold actions: He rejoined the Paris climate agreement, restored the vehicle emissions rules, canceled the Keystone XL pipeline, and stopped new drilling leases in the Arctic.
I applaud these moves, and I know we can and must do more.
Please join me in calling on President Biden to immediately declare a national climate emergency, allowing him to use the powers of the presidency to take swift action to reverse the climate crisis. [link removed]
A national climate emergency declaration would unlock America's industrial might to finance and build clean energy projects and create millions of jobs.
In his inaugural address, President Biden said that the crisis facing our planet "can't be any more desperate or any more clear." He's right. We must take bold action and do everything we can.
Let's join our voices and urge President Biden to declare a climate emergency. [link removed]
Thank you for standing with me,
Suzanne
