Greetings!
On September 19, 2010, my husband Brian Mast was blown up by a bomb while serving our nation overseas in the Army. He lost both legs and a finger, and it is only thanks to the quick action of his fellow soldiers and the grace of God that he is still alive today!

After he was flown back to the United States, when I first saw him lying in a bed at Walter Reed, it was a jarring experience. The man I knew could do anything he set his mind to, and now he was stuck in a bed missing two legs.

But even before he could speak again, I could see in his eyes that he wouldn’t let the best service he gave our nation be behind him. From the first moment he was back on U.S. soil, he was looking for a new way to serve our country.

That’s why what Jake Tapper said on CNN recently was so beyond the pale...

Jake Tapper actually had the gall to question Brian’s commitment to our country’s democracy. After everything he’s been through to defend it!

Throughout Brian’s continued service to our country as a Member of Congress, our family has had to grow accustomed to the personal attacks, but Brian always takes the high road, practicing the forgiveness that is taught to us by our Lord.

This was no different. Instead of lashing out at CNN, Brian actually defended Jake Tapper’s right to free speech. I was extremely proud of him that day, as I always am.

But the truth is Jake Tapper and his allies have a huge platform on TV, and it’s put a financial strain on Brian’s campaign to get his message out in response.

Is there any way you could chip in a couple dollars to help? I’d be eternally grateful for your support, and I know Brian would also.
Every morning that I wake up with Brian it is clear in both his words and his actions that he loves our country deeply. He glows with pride getting the chance to make our country great each and every day as a United States Congressman.

But he can’t do it alone. He needs us to support him.

That’s why I’m asking, if at all possible, if you would be willing to support the efforts of my husband today.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Brianna Mast
