BREAKING NEWS: President Biden signs an executive order to phase out the federal use of private prisons.

WHY THIS MATTERS: It has been proven time and again that the loyal public servants of the Bureau of Prisons are the quintessential correctional law enforcement professionals. They house, confine, and protect those who have committed a crime against our citizens and the American way of life; they do so more cost effectively, more efficiently, and much safer than their for-profit counterparts. No one is better suited nor has better prepared offenders for their return to society. The empirical data and studies supporting the dedication of our professional law enforcement employees is indisputable.
