Big Pork needs pigs like Hyacinth to become VERY large VERY quickly – too big and too quickly for her young body to handle.
Due to her size, Hyacinth suffers from stiff and sore joints and is at risk of injuring her legs, feet, and hooves. We’ve already had multiple scares when her leg went lame.
Keeping Hyacinth healthy and comfortable is the least we can do for a young pig that’s already endured so much. But to keep her in good health for the rest of her long life is going to cost a LOT of money.
Hyacinth is on a daily (sometimes multiple times per day!) regimen of pain and anti-inflammatory medication to manage her arthritis due to the effects of her unnatural size.
And frankly? The bills are piling up.
