The impeachment process proceeds in the Senate next week. But holding Trump accountable for his role in the violent insurrection at the US Capitol is just ONE of the many steps we must take to repair our democracy and build back better.

Pitch in to join me in this fight to move our country boldly forward and address the big challenges facing our democracy:

Donald Trump was a product of our broken political system. And in the weeks and months ahead we must move quickly to reform, repair and strengthen that system to ensure it works for the American people.

That's why one of the early orders of business in the Democratic-controlled Senate will be the For The People Act -- sweeping legislation to reform our campaign finance laws, implement national standards for fair voting processes, restore voting rights, end gerrymandering on a national basis, and much more.

For The People includes key campaign finance reforms from legislation I authored and passed in the House of Representatives immediately following the disastrous Supreme Court ruling on Citizens United which opened the dark money floodgates.

Our broken campaign finance laws have corrupted our politics and damaged our democracy. We're going to keep fighting to fix this until we are successful.

But we can't do it without the engagement of grassroots supporters like you. Will you stand with me in the fight ahead? If you can, chip in today:

We now have a slim Democratic majority in the Senate -- but a majority nevertheless -- and we can't waste this critical opportunity to both repair the damage of the last four years and move this country boldly forward.

Thank you for being a partner in this mission,
