Adams Beverages takes a stand against human trafficking

On Monday, Adams Beverages joined the nationwide campaign of beer distributors helping to combat human trafficking, spearheaded by NBWA. "As a local business, Adams Beverages is always looking for ways to make a difference in our community," said Adams President Clay Adams. Overall, the North Carolina-based beer distributor trained more than 550 employees on how to understand human trafficking, identify the signs and report it to the appropriate authorities.

Kloss Distributing now powered by the sun

Kloss Distributing, a family-owned beer distributor out of Lake County, Ill., is now fully powered by the sun, thanks to a new solar installation. President Mike Kloss says, "It's a good business decision and great for the environment." The solar panels installed on the warehouse roof will cover 100% of the company's electric needs, and the reduction of CO2 pollution will be equivalent to taking 138 cars off the road.

Anheuser-Busch pulls Budweiser from Super Bowl ad lineup

For the first time in nearly 40 years, Budweiser won't be featured in a Super Bowl commercial. The money typically spent on that coveted Super Bowl spot will go toward creating a public-service announcement to raise awareness of the benefits of getting the COVID-19 vaccine. Parent company Anheuser-Busch still has four minutes' worth of advertising lined up for Super Bowl LV.

Molson Coors to distribute CKBG's RTD cocktail

Molson Coors announced a partnership with CKBG to distribute Superbird, a tequila-based ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail. The agreement will allow Superbird to expand its distribution nationally, starting with 10 new markets in spring 2021. This marks Molson Coors' first entry into the premium RTD spirits category and aligns with its ongoing mission to go beyond beer.
