Hey folks, I need to bump my message from yesterday.

Everything coming out of Washington has been deeply concerning lately and I need to stay focused on doing my job in the Senate. Today, I'll be sworn in as an impartial juror for Donald Trump's impeachment trial that will begin in a few weeks.

I'm working around the clock and can't afford to get distracted with our fundraising numbers. According to my team, we're still behind our end-of-month goal. So, if you can, will you pitch in a donation today? Your contribution today would take a lot off of my plate at the moment.

Hello,

In just a moment, I’m going to ask you to add a contribution to help us reach our first 2021 end-of-month fundraising goal. But before I do, I’d like to briefly explain why I need your support right now.

Later today, the House of Representatives will deliver the Article of Impeachment to the Senate. Soon after, the Senate trial to convict Donald J. Trump for inciting a violent insurrection on our nation’s Captiol will begin in earnest.

As you can imagine, that keeps me very busy. I will join my colleagues in listening to the arguments made by the House impeachment managers and the President’s team. At the same time, we can’t ignore critically important issues like delivering COVID-19 relief and ensuring we are quickly distributing vaccines across the country.

I just don’t have time to focus on our fundraising efforts right now and unfortunately, our numbers have taken quite the nosedive this month. So, I’m really hoping folks like you can help us out before it’s too late.

My team has set a goal to raise $15,500 by the end of the month. Can I personally count on you to add a donation of anything you can afford today? Every dollar keeps me focused on doing my job in the Senate.

I first got into politics because I was sick and tired of our government not working for people like me, a dirt farmer from Montana. I promise to never forget where I came from or who I work for.

That’s why it means so much to know you’re on the team. Thanks for everything.

— Jon
