Experts are already weighing in on precisely how effective certain aspects of President Biden's "American Rescue Plan" would be. According to a Columbia University report, the pandemic relief package would cut child poverty in half in the first year alone.

Here are some of the details of President Biden's $1.9 trillion COVID relief proposal, the "American Rescue Plan": critical improvements to the Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit, a $15 minimum wage, $1,400 cash payments to individuals, state and local aid, continued unemployment assistance, food and housing aid, paid leave, and the funding and plan to distribute vaccines and treatment.
