BREAKING: $15/hr minimum wage announced in Congress
Tell your lawmakers we need $15/hr NOW >> [[link removed]]

There's no stopping us now, John.

I get up every morning to risk my life at McDonald's in the middle of a global pandemic and am still struggling to raise my family on poverty wages. I'm fighting for my childrens' futures because they want to go to college someday, and with my current wage, paying for it seems nearly impossible.

But today I finally see a path to a brighter future: bills announced in the U.S. House and Senate today to raise the federal minimum wage to $15/hr. Now, it's up to us to make sure we WIN.

Here's what you can do RIGHT NOW to help win $15/hr:
1. SIGN. Tell your lawmakers what $15 means to you. Send a quick message to your lawmakers to show them that voters like you want every worker to have a paycheck that allows them to live with dignity. [[link removed]]
2. SHARE. Show your support for $15 by spreading the news on Facebook [[link removed]], Instagram [[link removed]], and Twitter [[link removed]]. We've won raises, protections, and elections by showing up for each other -- every voice matters.
3. CALL. Tell your Senators to support $15 TODAY. Dial 1-888-639-5155 and ask your Senators to support the 2021 Raise the Wage Act. Making a call is the best way to make sure they know you care about raising the wage -- offices tally up calls and report this out to members of Congress!

I've been on strike. I've organized. I've voted. I've even been to the US Capitol to demand a federal $15 minimum wage before. But this time is different. In November, our votes put champions for $15 in the White House and gave them control of Congress.

Now we need to make sure they deliver on the promise of $15/hr and union rights -- but we know that they'll only act if we demand it.

This isn't just about fast-food workers like me. We're winning for people working in nursing homes, for home care workers, for janitors, for child care workers -- for all of us who have been working hard through this pandemic.

Let's claim our power. It's time for $15 and a union.
