Last night, House Speaker Pelosi transferred the article of impeachment charging former President Trump with “incitement of insurrection” to the Senate. The Senate trial will soon begin. There is no time to waste.

Members of Congress swore an oath to defend our Constitution and democracy from all threats — foreign and domestic. It’s safe to say inciting a violent coup led by neo-Nazis and white supremacists constitutes a domestic threat to our democracy. And the man who inspired their insurrection, Donald Trump, should be convicted.
