House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has just sent an article of impeachment against former President Donald Trump to the Senate last night.

For his entire term, I did everything in my power to hold Trump and his cronies accountable for the several instances of corruption, misconduct, and abuse of power — including being at the forefront of his first impeachment.

And just because Trump is no longer in office, does not mean that he should be let off the hook.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell would love nothing more than to sweep Trump's greatest offense under the rug, just as he's done the last four years. But we can't let that happen.

I'm continuing to fight tooth and nail to ensure that Donald Trump is held responsible for inciting domestic terrorism at the Capitol earlier this month and that he answers to the American people for his dangerous and unconstitutional actions.
