I’m reaching out with an update on The Center’s building closure due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. In order to ensure continued staff and community safety, our building will remain closed to the public until at least June 30, 2021.

Making the decision to remain closed was not easy. It was informed by several important factors. In addition to community and staff feedback we received, health officials are still discouraging gathering indoors. Plus, the anticipated timeline for vaccinations is such that it makes the most sense for us to push back our reopening date.

We also know that the situation with COVID-19 could change quite quickly. We may adjust our reopening to start sooner or allow certain limited activities in the building. We will of course keep you updated if that happens.

We deeply miss being able to connect with our community in person. But we know, soon enough, there will be a joyful time when we can begin to safely come together in person once again. In the meantime, we are still here for you virtually. Please visit our website to get in touch with us or learn more about the many services and programs available to you, including classes, arts & culture events, individual and group counseling, substance use treatment, health insurance enrollment assistance, advocacy volunteering opportunities, and more.

Sincerely,

Jeffrey Klein
