For four long years, friend, we fought hard. We mobilized. We spoke out. And now, for the first time in a decade, Democrats have control of the White House and Congress all thanks to supporters like you.

As a dedicated Democrat, I wanted to write to you right away and share some exciting news. Last week, I was honored to be elected to serve as the Vice Chair of the Democratic National Committee.

I know from my own experience that running a campaign is like running a marathon: It takes steady, consistent dedication to make it to the finish line. Michigan has one of the strongest state parties in the country. In four years -- and thanks to year-round organizing -- we flipped the state's executive branch AND the state Supreme Court.

If you're ready for a Democratic Party that competes everywhere, and elects candidates who represent their communities, I hope you'll invest in the Michigan Democratic Party today with a sustaining donation.

Friend, our work is far from over. Let's face it: Democrats are going into the 2022 elections with the odds stacked against us. History shows us that the party in the White House almost always loses legislative seats during the midterms.

There are two options -- we can despair or we can organize. This team is going to organize. But it's going to take smart planning and early investments to build the infrastructure we need to keep Michigan blue.

That is why I am asking you, if your budget allows, to commit to staying in this fight by starting a modest monthly donation to the Democratic Party.

We've got work to do, and I can't wait to get started!
