John, when I ask

I don't say this lightly, but Larry Krasner is my living hero. He was the
literal civil rights attorney for the Black Lives Matter Movement in
Philadelphia. ⁣

He is a lifelong civil rights attorney and has fought for our rights for a
generation. ⁣

And 4 years ago, he did something that people thought was absolutely
CRAZY. He decided to run for District Attorney of Philadelphia. After a
lifetime of fighting against the corrupt system, he decided that he was
going to enter the system to change it from the inside out. ⁣

AND HE WON. ⁣

And when Larry Krasner won the race to be the DA of Philadelphia, he not
only changed the city, he has completely changed the landscape for DA's
nationwide.⁣

In his 4 years, he has exonerated a staggering 17 wrongfully convicted men
from prison whose lives were destroyed by the office he now leads. ⁣

That's more than any office I've ever seen in 4 years. ⁣

He has drastically reduced the number of people in jail and has done the
hard work of making sure you aren't in jail just because you are poor, or
struggle with substance abuse, or are homeless, or have a mental illness.
⁣

He has started the hard work of holding police officers accountable for
their gross misconduct – and as a result – the police union is raising and
spending millions to stop Larry. ⁣

Larry was the first DA I ever heard of who created a list of corrupt,
violent, and dishonest police officers that he released publicly – and
then announced they'd never be allowed to testify in his courts. ⁣

That's how badass this man is. And cities across the country have
followed. ⁣
