The American people made themselves heard in the 2020 election, and Democrats took control of the U.S. Senate and the White House. It’s really not complicated.

But Mitch McConnell refuses to let up. In a last-minute power grab, he’s taking the unprecedented step of refusing to agree to common procedural rules to govern the new Senate — effectively ignoring the will of the people and keeping us from getting to work on the critical issues facing Americans today.

Well, I’m tired of the partisan games in Washington. I’m sure many of you are, too. McConnell needs to hand the gavel over so the new Congress can get to work making progress for the American people.

Enough is enough. It’s time for the new Senate to get to work doing what we were elected to do — making quality health care more affordable, expanding COVID-19 relief, and putting dignity back in the workplace.
